Mirror, mirror on the wall … The current macrame and tapestry trend has inspired me to take the gimmicks with mirrors a little further and to combine two materials that couldn’t be more different: a cool mirror tile and warm wool merge into a homely one Fringed mirror . A foolproof DIY guide creates an eye-catcher for the wall in no time at all, which will automatically attract attention. The great thing: Here you can really let off steam in terms of color and shape. This mirror is also a wonderful way to use up long-forgotten scraps of wool. How about a look in the mirror?
Material: 1 x round mirror tile (15 cm diameter), scraps of wool in different colors, hot glue gun, scissors
Step 1: fire up the glue gun and prepare a few bundles of wool from the first color. Then glue it in the middle at the bottom of the back of the mirror tile. You should work very quickly here, as the glue dries quickly. For a fuller effect, I glued two layers of wool.
Step 2: Now cut the wool of the other color to size and glue it to the center of the bottom of the mirror tile or onto the other wool. Turn the mirror over and over to check the result. Is some wool missing? Then some sticks quickly afterward.
Step 3: If you are satisfied with the result, cut the fringes evenly with a pair of scissors so that they are reasonably straight. The fringed mirror is done!
